East or Amazon - Overview


The Amazon region of Ecuador or the East is a region in its natural state, quite different from the Costa and Sierra, two other natural regions is divided into Ecuador. With 115,613 km2, is the largest covers 45% of the national territory with a population of just 666,912, has a population density of 5.28. Politically divided into six provinces, from north to south are: Sucumbios, Orellana, Napo, Pastaza, Morona Santiago and Zamora Chinchipe.
